All praises are for Allah Almighty. We praise Him, ask Him, and seek forgiveness from Him. We seek refuge in Allah Almighty from all of our evils and mischief of our deeds. I would start my article about end of the time by quoting the following verses from the Holy Qur’an:
“And the Moon is eclipsed, and the Sun and the Moon are fused together, on that Day man will ask: “Where can I run?” No indeed! There will be no safe place. That Day, the only resting place will be your Lord.” (Surat al-Qiyama, 8-12)
Death is indisputable fact of life regardless of race, faith, age or status; it is universally accepted all will die. All the religions teach that one’s life does not end: rather, it is followed by the eternal life of the hereafter. The Day of Judgment is vital part of the Belief in Islam. We, perhaps, are living today in the end of times for this world; the signs are clear for all of us to see. We have been warned in many Qur’an Verses and Hadith about rapidly approaching Day of Judgment.
Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) being the last Messenger of God clearly explained the signs of end of the time.
The Holy Prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) said, “Time will pass rapidly, good deeds will decrease, miserliness will be thrown (in the hearts of the people), afflictions will appear and there will be much ‘Al-Harj.'” They said, “O Allah’s Messenger! What is ‘Al-Harj?’ He said, “Killing! Killing!” (Sahih Bukhari, Hadith no. 183)
Allah’s Messenger Hazrat Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) further described some of the signs of approaching the Day of Judgment reported mostly in Sahih Bukhari as: good deeds will be decreased, power will be given to wrong people, killing and murder will be at climax, people will become miserly, knowledge will be disappeared and ignorance will emerge, there will be abundant of wealth, to such an extent that it will be difficult to find any needy of Zakat, Earthquakes will be increased, the people will wish that they would be in their place while passing by a grave, people will compete others constructing taller and taller buildings, adultery and fornication will be prevalent, the consumption of intoxicants will be widespread, a trial will arise in Arabia which will not spare a single household, leaders will not rule according to the Commands of Allah, women will be naked in spite of being dressed, these women will be led astray & will lead others astray, people will dance late into the night. We can see all the signs are rapidly taking place in the present age.
At the end of the time, world will come to an end and everything will be destroyed. We will be accountable for all of our deeds and we will be questioned by our Lord Allah Almighty. Allah Almighty is Just and He maintains a meticulous record of our deeds. Every individual will have to account for his / her actions before Allah Almighty. The people who focus only on this temporary life, for sure, miss out on the bigger picture. Allah Almighty reminds humanity ‘The life of this world is merely an amusement and a diversion: the true life is in the Hereafter, if only they knew’ (Qur’an 29:64). Despite death being an inevitable fact, we have got so absorbed in living here, comfort of our homes, busy in our children and other relationships, and our daily routine business that we have forgot about death. Allah Almighty says in the Holy Qur’an what means:
(On Judgment Day when every soul will confront all the good it did and all the evils it had done, it would wish there was great difference between it and its evil. But Allah Almighty cautions you (to remember) Himself. And Allah is very kind to the people who serve Him) (Surah Aal-Imran 3:30)
The every Messenger of God warned His people of the Day of Resurrection and taught that this life is only a test to determine their place in the eternal life Hereafter. There are many signs telling us the Last Day is near and in the recent times these signs have become more evident. While God tells us we will not know the end of the time, God wanted us to know as to when that time was getting closer. 1400 years ago, the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) had related a number of secrets regarding The Day of The Judgment, and of his thoughts about it, to His Muslim Companions. These valuable words have been passed down from generation to generation to the present day through Hadith. If we take into consideration all of signs described by our Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم), there can be no mistaking that this generation is living in the last days.
The Judgment Day (end of the time) is inevitable. Every Muslim must firmly believe in rising after death, and should try living life according to rules and instructions of Islam and should seek forgiveness of Allah Almighty. Muslims ought to be good with other people. We must love others, be tolerant and patient with them so that nobody complains against us on the Day of Judgment. Today every sign that takes place is to remind the people once again that the Day of Judgment is very near. The people should instantly apply the moral Values of the Qur’an to their lives.
